How Do Transportation Influencing Factors Affect Air Pollutants from Vehicles in China? Evidence from Threshold Effect

چکیده
In recent years, China has promoted a series of legal norms to reduce the environmental impact air pollutants from vehicles. The three main vehicle emission species (carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides) contribute significantly pollution. this study, factor method was used estimate vehicles in 31 provinces 2006 2016. results show trend total carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) emissions decreasing with time; oxides (NOx) is divided into two stages: an upward between 2012 downward after 2012. Based on panel threshold, regression divide NOx CO four zones: low emissions, medium high extra-high emissions. Vehicle HC were zones, which corresponded Overall, pollution efficiency per capita GDP have significant inhibitory effect (NOx, HC, CO). Both passenger freight turnover roles promoting Road density road carrying capacity role Increasing truck proportion inhibits promotes urbanization rate positive Moreover, there obvious heterogeneity different zones

How Do Agricultural Subsectors Respond to Productivity Shocks? Evidence from a Bayesian DSGE Model in Iran
Understanding the dynamics of productivity shocks is instrumental if we are to identify the sources of economic growth. This paper, investigates dynamic effects of positives productivity shocks to agricultural subsectors during the period from 1991-2015, by disaggregating agricultural sector in Iran into four key subsectors (crops, livestock, fishing and forestry) through an estimated DSGE mode...
متن کاملHow do Heterogeneous Social Interactions affect the Peer Effect in Rural-Urban Migration?:Empirical Evidence from China
In this paper, we use the “2002 Chinese Household Income Project Survey” (CHIPS2002) data to examine how heterogeneous social interactions affect the peer effect in the rural–urban migration decision in China. We find that the peer effect, measured by the village migration ratio, significantly increases the individual probability of outward migration. We also find that the magnitude of the peer...
متن کاملHow Do House Prices Affect Consumption? Evidence from Micro Data
Housing is a major component of wealth. Since house prices fluctuate considerably over time, it is important to understand how these fluctuations affect households’ consumption decisions. Rising house prices may stimulate consumption by increasing households’ perceived wealth, or by relaxing borrowing constraints. This paper investigates the response of household consumption to house prices usi...
متن کاملMajor factors influencing the health impacts from controlling air pollutants with nonlinear chemistry: an application to China.
Predicting the human-health effects of reducing atmospheric emissions of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from power plants, motor vehicles, and other sources is complex because of nonlinearity in the relevant atmospheric processes. We estimate the health impacts of changes in fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and ozone concentrations that result from control of NOx emissions alone and in conjuncti...
متن کاملExposures and health outcomes from outdoor air pollutants in China.
China's economy has developed rapidly in the recent two decades. Economic development is usually linked with increase in energy consumption and consumption emissions, which in turn leads to worsening of air quality. Due to the adoption of various control measures, the ambient air quality in a number of large cities in China has actually improved. The ambient air TSP and SO(2) levels in China ha...
